State-funded places are available through the Russian Government quota, with selection by the Rossotrudnichestvo office in the applicant's country, and the page also lists admission to state-funded places by general competition. Applicants need an education document and passport with notarised Russian translations, a medical certificate and HIV and hepatitis certificates. The international section of the website has pages on admission, insurance and dormitories. The centre "Rusich" runs an additional programme in Russian as a foreign language (576 classroom hours).

Housing

According to its mandatory disclosure, the university has three dormitories with 981 rooms for non-resident students. The international pages name dormitories at Stremyanny Lane 14 (about three minutes from the university) and Nezhinskaya Street 7. Residents must present medical documents at check-in. The Rusich language programme does not include a dormitory.
